POWER TO THE PEOPLE – Joey (Katie Holmes) relies on the support of Pacey (Joshua Jackson) and A.J. (guest star Robin Dunne) to rally the students in protest against the school superintendent after he forces Principal Green (guest star Obba Babatundé) to resign for expelling the student who destroyed Joey's mural. Meanwhile, Dawson (James Van Der Beek) and Gale (Mary-Margaret Humes) both go back to their respective places in back and in front of the camera to produce a piece about the ongoing school protest which ruffles more than a few feathers of the school board hierarchy.
The school board threatens to fire Principal Green, over alleged 'preferential treatment' in the case of Pacey and Matt Caulfield's brawl. Dawson enlists his mother to cover the story, as it is being misrepresented by local media and Joey, after encouragement from Pacey and with help from A.J., organises the student body in a protest against the school board. Andie, Jen and Jack all help with the cause.
