Michelle Williams is an Academy Award nominated, Emmy[1] and Golden Globe-winning[2] American actor. Williams portrayed Jen Lindley on Dawson's Creek.

Career[]

During her time on Dawson's Creek, Williams starred in a number of popular films including Halloween H2O (1998), Dick (1999) with Kirsten Dunst, But I'm a Cheerleader (1999), Prozac Nation (2001) and The United States of Leland alongside Ryan Gosling in 2003. Following the end of the series, Williams has gone on to create a prolific career, appearing in numerous acclaimed works, including Brokeback Mountain (2005) and Blue Valentine (2008), for which she received Oscar and Golden Globe nominations. Williams appeared in the acclaimed I'm Not There (2007) and has starred in Wendy and Lucy (2008), Meeks Cutoff (2010), Shutter Island (2010), My Week with Marilyn (2011), Take This Waltz (2012), Suite Française (2015), Manchester by the Sea (2016), All the Money in the World (2017) and The Greatest Showman (2017). In 2020, Williams won an Emmy, Golden Globe and SAG award for her portrayal of Gwen Verdon in the miniseries Fosse/Verdon and in 2023, she received her fifth Academy Award nomination for her role in Steven Spielberg's The Fabelmans (2022), portraying a fictional version of the director's real life mother.
