John Wesley Shipp is a Daytime Emmy[1] award winning American actor. Shipp portrays Mitch Leery on Dawson's Creek.
Career[]
Shipp has won two Daytime Emmy awards[2] for his roles on As the World Turns (1986) and Santa Barbara (1985). He continued in the world of daytime soaps for several years and appeared in many primetime series, including a turn as the titular character in the short lived 1990 CBS series, The Flash. After his departure from Dawson's Creek, Shipp returned to guest appearances and daytime TV.
In 2014, Shipp joined the CW's Arrowverse as Henry Allen on The Flash. Later, joining the show once again as Jay Garrick, for which he also appeared on Stargirl, and ultimately, reprising his role from 1990 as Barry Allen & The Flash in the crossover events Elsewords and Crisis on Infinite Earths.
