Barefoot at Capefest is the 11th episode of Season 3 of WB teen drama Dawson's Creek.

Synopsis

THERE'S A NEW KID IN TOWN – Dawson (James Van Der Beek) experiences an identity crisis when Principal Green's (Obba Babatundé) daughter Nikki (Bianca Lawson) emerges as another aspiring young director, and Joey (Katie Holmes) experiences her own crisis when Dawson won't open up to her about the pain of his parents' (Mary-Margaret Humes and John Wesley Shipp) divorce. Meanwhile, Jack's (Kerr Smith) first efforts to hit on another guy are rebuffed, Pacey (Joshua Jackson) and Andie (Meredith Monroe) uncomfortably find themselves sharing the same afterschool activity, and Jen (Michelle Williams) realizes that she may have passed up the chance at something special with Henry (guest star Michael Pitt).

Plot

Andie signs up for the school play as Assistant Director, but it turns out the Director has a particular lead in mind – Pacey. Joey feels threatened when Dawson opens up to Nikki about his parents' divorce, Jen attempts to reconnect with Henry and Jack spends some time with Ethan.
